  • Braking has different meanings. For Code, braking means being fast enough to win the World Downhill Championship or tackle the steepest alpine descents. Or rushing up a single trail uphill - thanks to the new e-mountain bike options. Code is the right tool to slow down drivers who drive harder, faster and more intensely. It uses proven SRAM Guide design elements and technologies. With the larger PiggyBack reservoir and a brake caliper with four pistons with a larger diameter, it offers constant and reliable performance for all applications with high loads. The Bleeding Edge technology makes maintenance child's play.
Code RSC consists of the elements that made the Guide a flagship model in terms of brake design and performance, and offers 15% more power to convince in all heavy-duty applications. The SwingLink and the ball-bearing lever ensure a soft and progressive feel on the lever and at the same time the 30% larger amount of brake fluid guarantees constant and perfect performance even with harder and more frequent braking or with a larger mass to be braked.

    Bleeding edge
Bleeding Edge technology enables quick and easy bleeding of the brakes. Thanks to the new fluid channel and the newly designed ventilation opening, the fluid can be pumped through the brake caliper more easily. A special adapter can be plugged into the ventilation opening and seals the system to prevent air and fluid loss.

    Pressure point adjustment
Some people like the immediate power transmission of a short leverage. Others prefer the feeling of longer leverage. With the pressure point setting, you can determine the position at which your fingers are to be placed, into which the brakes are applied. So you can quickly and easily adjust the feeling of your brakes to your needs.

    Reach adjustment
The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. The drivers have individual position preferences as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be easily adjusted - for maximum control with just one finger.

    DOT 5.1
Heat is the enemy of every braking system. Better heat management will also make your trip considerably safer. SRAM has found that DOT 5.1 takes three times longer to reach boiling point than DOT 4. This ensures smooth and never-ending braking power under even more extreme conditions.

    Expandable bladder
SRAM's new brake lever design includes a new bubble shape that can be used to regulate and reduce air bubbles. The bladder is specially shaped to pump air out of the lever and to transport the liquid exactly where it is needed. The result is an improved back pressure relief for reliable and constant braking performance.

    SwingLink
If you pull a new SRAM brake lever, you will notice the difference immediately. A shorter free travel. An optimized actuation of the brake pads. The new cam design means that a shorter lever travel is required to push the brake pads towards the brake disc. That is nice, but more than just power is important for perfect braking performance. They need control. Many braking systems offer a shorter free travel - but at the expense of modulation. SwingLink solves this problem with its special cam shape. When the brake pads touch the brake disc, the force is modulated and the "stagnant" braking sensation is avoided. This creates the perfect balance between power and precision.

    brake pads mountable from above
If a bike repair prevents you from getting back on the track as quickly as possible, every second counts. Thanks to our top-mounted disc brake pads, you don't have to remove the wheel, work under the caliper or bend your fingers - and you'll be back on the track much faster.
